Protection against legionella in showers and baths with theB-Safe filter

• Protection against legionella and other bacteria
  The B-SAFE filter prevents people from catching Legionnaires’ disease, which is caused by inhalation of legionella-polluted airborne water aerosols. Legionella and other bacteria are removed by a dead-end hollow-fibre micro-filtration membrane with a pore size of 0.02 µm. The water gets filtrated in dead-end form without backwash.
• Removal of particles
  The pre-filter integrated in the B-SAFE filter removes sand, rust, boiler scales, parts of the biofilm and other particles from the water.
• Non-return valve
  The non-return valve protects against bacterial re-pollution of the water distribution system to the greatest extent.
• Chemical-free prevention of Legionnaires’ disease
  The B-SAFE filter removes legionella and other bacteria from the water in an entirely mechanical way. The filter works without addition of chemicals (disinfection agents) to the water.
• Compact functional design
  The hollow fibre micro filtration membrane built into the B-SAFE filter gives a high filtration capacity when combining a large filter area and a small volume.

Woda Pure water purification filter

• Application
  Filter for removing undesired odour and flavours (e.g. chlorine), natural colours (e.g. humus) and for reducing bacteria in the water. Woda-Pure can be used in dental units, as final filtration of laboratory water and for water for humidification.
  
  
• The filter is not VA-approved for drinking water purposes.
  
  
• Function
  First the water runs through active carbon, the large porous surface of which absorbs organic matters from the water. In this way the colours and odours are removed. At the same time possible turbidity is retained.
• After that the water gets filtrated through a membrane. This is a so-called “dead-end micro filtration”.
• The membrane pore size is so small that only bacteria are retained in the filter.

 

HOH Filterpen

HOH H2O Filter pen is a small and handy water filter the size of a ball pen. It is used as a kind of straw, i.e. when the water is sucked up through the tube, it becomes filtered by means of X-Flow micro filtration membranes. For the past years these micro membranes have been used quite successfully in some of the world’s most advanced water purification plants. The filter pen only weighs 30 g and takes up very little space. It is ideal for travellers as it can easily be transported in your hand baggage, the rucksack or even in a breast pocket. Consequently it is always within reach and should be used every time there are doubts about the water quality. The micro-filter membranes function as a sort of strainer, retaining the micro organisms. The pores of the membranes have an average diameter of 0.18 micrometer and a maximum pore diameter of 0.25 micrometre (1 micrometre is 1 thousandth of a millimetre). This means that the membranes are capable of retaining bacteria and protozoan. A test with coli bacteria showed that 99.9999 % of the bacteria were retained. Virus is n not retained as it is smaller than the pores. If you suspect that the water is polluted with virus, you must pre-treat the water before using the Filter Pen. The effectiveness of each single filter pen gets tested.

The filter pen is used as a straw. When you suck up water through the tube, the water flows through the micro-filtration membranes and protozoan and bacteria are retained. The filter pen can filter approx. 100 litres of water without losing its filtration ability. However, this depends on the water quality and that the instructions for maintenance and cleaning are followed. The filter pen is not intended for cleaning of seawater or soda water or other sugary beverages.
