Recycling of washwater

For companies producing double glazing we have developed a special packaged solution that recycles the washwater .

The recirculated water becomes cleaned and can re-enter into the washing process. The plant can be combined with reverse osmosis in order to ensure completely clear and spotless panes.

The plant offers large savings on water, discharge taxes and energy.

Market Gardens

Market gardens are large-scale consumers of water and here we can supply sand and carbon filters for cleaning of water from own bored well.

For hothouses with humidification we can supply solutions which totally desalinate the water so that clogging of nozzles is avoided and the plants do not get blemishing lime stains.

Hothouses

Randers Rain Forest is a tropical, zoological exhibition based on the world's rain forests.
To give a humidity as true to nature as possible, both domes have had nozzle humidifiers installed which add adequate amounts of water to the exhibition to give a high tropical air humidity. This plant used to be supplied with municipal drinking water. However, it quickly turned out that the content of salts and minerals in the drinking water settled as a white dust layer everywhere inside the domes causing everything to look grey and dull instead of being green and vigorous. A calculation showed that annually almost 2.5 tons of salts and minerals were added, which settled like dust on plants etc. - furthermore with the risk of killing the plants.
By installing an HOH 2200 reverse osmosis plant the annual amount of salts and minerals has been reduced to approx. 2 kg, which does not influence the well-being of the plants. The solution was simple since HOH’s standard division supplies a number of reverse osmosis plants for desalination of drinking water to be used in connection with humidification systems.

For public swimming pools we can supply a number of partial solutions. We do not project swimming baths but supply all the technical equipment that will make a swimming bath well-functioning.

We have metering units for correct dosage of chlorine etc. We have measuring and testing equipment for monitoring of the water quality, and we can supply filters for cleaning the water. UV disinfection of water is one of our specialities.

Furthermore, we have a special product that prevents lime from depositing in installations and sprinkling roses.

Car washing plants

For the past years HOH has been a supplier to the car washing market, both in Denmark as well as abroad. This has given us knowledge about car washing which we have utilised for constructing a series of plants aimed exactly at this segment.
The water treatment plants are based on reverse osmosis technology, which removes all salts, and have a softening unit as pre-treatment.
The plants consider the requirements made at service stations and by machinery suppliers like e.g.:

  • Electricity reduction: 65%
  • Water reduction: 100%
  • Salt reduction: 25-30%

Fountain plants

A typical water-treatment plant for a fountain may consist of:

A surge tank that can pick up the amount of water which returns in case of a stop.

Fresh-water connection to the plant. If the water contains too much lime or there is a great evaporation, it will be convenient to connect a desalination plant.

For sorting out particles in the water in order to avoid blocking you may connect a bag filter or sand filter dependent on the water amount, impurities and whether there is water for backwashing of the sand filter.

Organic fouling, bacterial growth, algae and the like will almost always occur in fountain water, but it may be prevented by dosing with chemicals or UV-illuminating the circulation water, depending on whether it is an indoor or outdoor water arrangement. It is also of importance which material the fountain is made of.

Laundries

We have developed a special plant for laundries which supplies soft water to the washing machines. The capacity corresponds to the consumption of approx. 5-6 industrial machines.

The plant is suitable for apartment blocks with common laundries, co-operated laundries, institutional laundries etc.
